Santa Fe Real Estate Scene
August 2002 |
The rains have arrived! Now we can experience our typical
summer rain cycle, giving us a break from the drought and
forest fires. Afternoon rainbows along the foothills give us
faith that the moisture will continue.
Water development remains an issue even though the City of Santa Fe owns abundant water rights. Santa Fe remains in a Stage 3 water alert, although the city council backed off from declaring a Stage 4 and halting all construction permits. A new city well is finally being drilled in the Buckman well area, although development of the San Juan Chama water rights remains in limbo. Time will tell if the city and county managers have enough leadership ability to set and complete water agendas in a timely manner.
Corrections in the stock markets remind us to keep the long term in mind, invest in value and diversify our portfolios. Remember real estate is your investment alternative to the stock market. Diversified portfolios are stronger portfolios. Call us today to discuss your Santa Fe Real Estate strategy, toll free 1-866-264-4848.
