Homes sales price trends continue up in the Santa Fe area. The median sales price for a single family home in the Santa Fe area during the 2nd quarter
of 2005 reached $386,250, compared to 334,000 in 2004. See chart to right for other comparable values.

Without a doubt, continued interest in Santa Fe and Northern New Mexico stems from folks moving from bustling cities to a more quiet and
refined lifestyle that Santa Fe offers. Statistics from the National
Association of Realtors verify Baby Boomers are cashing out of pricey, if not overextended markets, and reinvesting for their retirements. Even though Santa Fe is at the end of the Santa Fe Trail, we enjoy: a sophisticated arts and non-profit community, moderate temperatures, consistent sunshine, fresh air, lack of traffic, extensive outdoor activities, and a mellow multi-cultural climate where no one judges a book by it's cover.

Santa Fe crime, high-school dropouts and water consumption are down
according to Santa Fe Trends, statistics compiled by City of Santa Fe
Planners. The city has grown by 5.8 percent since 2000. The City's
population estimated at 65,800 and the County of Santa Fe's population
